CAPITAL GYROTONIC® is honored to be one of the few healing centers in Washington DC to host a classically trained Chinese Medicine practitioner, Nicholas Buscemi.

Stemming from a 5,000 year old tradition of observations, science, and wisdom as well as having graduated from the most comprehensive Chinese medicine school in the West, Nicholas Buscemi offers a unique treatment of Chinese medicine.

Using the teachings of Classical Chinese Medicine and philosophy, Nicholas treats THE WHOLE PERSON at the ROOT of the dis-ease, not just the symptoms thus leading to long-lasting and deepest healing.

A fundamental philosophy of Chinese Medicine is Prevention. Through active dialogue including diet and lifestyle counseling as well as simple teachings of Qi Gong and Tai Chi fundamentals, Nicholas seeks to engage each person exactly where they are and guide them, gently, to where they want to be.

Nicholas’ areas of focus include but are not limited to:

- Chronic pain management and arthritis

- Acute pain including joint, back, and neck pain

- Fertility, women’s health, and menopause

- Gastrointestinal issues and respiration including seasonal and chronic allergies

- Mental and emotional wellness

- Anxiety and insomnia

- Headache and migraine

- Weight loss

-Lyme disease

And perhaps most important, Preventative care.

Classical Chinese medicine represents one of humanity’s richest and uninterrupted streams of traditional knowledge. It is a highly sophisticated clinical system that offers a real alternative for the serious health care needs of our time. The 21st century will see a return to the time-honored values of living in harmony with nature and the essence of being fully human. This journey toward genuine health and wholeness is precipitated by the present blossoming of the traditions of holistic medicine, with Chinese medicine blazing the trail. At the National College of Natural Medicine’s School of Classical Chinese Medicine, we are committed to transmitting the deepest and clinically most powerful aspects of this medicine.
